DMT Diamond Whetstones make sharpening fast and easy on any material
• Monocrystalline diamond embedded in nickel is what makes sharpening with DMT products superior
• The grit size of the Whetstone is denoted by the base colour
• Green - Extra fine 1200 mesh (9 micron), polishes and refines the edge after using a coarser grit
• Red - Fine 600 mesh (25 micron), puts a razor edge on a regularly maintained tool
• Blue - Coarse 325 mesh (45 micron), restores edge on a neglected tool or blade
• Black - Extra coarse 220 mesh (60 micron), significant removal of material on damaged tools
• Interrupted surface - recessed polka-dot pattern clears swarf for faster sharpening
• Continuous Surface - preferred when sharpening small and pointed tools
